Fashion Friday: Summer Pastels

Fashion vegan pastels summer

Pastels can be a hard outfit to pull off: you don’t want to look to easter-y, but once you can get it right, it looks super-chic and girly. Plus, you’ll be easy to spot in a sea of blacks and blues!

Yes, I cut my hair… you like?

I’ve found that the easiest way to wear pastels is to mix textures (something I seem to like doing a lot!). Again, I love incorporating silk into my summer outfits, since it’s so lightweight and easy to wear.

A button-down blouse looks both ladylike and sleek!

Obviously, I’m one of those vegans who wears silk and eats honey– some of you might get offended, but to be 100% honest, I just don’t care about the welfare of bugs. So sting me! (but please don’t!!)

Pair your pastel outfit with a neutral bag and some cute open toed sandals to herald in the great weather!

It might ease your mind a bit if I told you my silk top was actually thrifted from Goodwill… at least I’m recycling!

A fun belt like this neon green PU one from Steve Madden pulls your look together & adds a pop of color.

Anyway, back to the outfit. Since pastels are already quite girly and feminine by nature, it’s a great time to incorporate some edgy, statement jewelry pieces to offset that feminine energy. It’s all a delicate, fashionable balance!

Fresh Meadows Natural – Overpriced, But Still Quite Nice

As every living (and also undead) person in the world knows, convenience costs a pretty penny. Want a moderately priced bag of goji berries? Don’t go to Whole Foods, where it’ll cost you $6.99 to the $2.99/$1.99 at the Chinese grocer. Some things are worth the extra trip, especially if you don’t NEED them in, […]

To Cheez or Nacheez – Vegan Nacho Dip Review

Nacheez Vegan Cheese Nacho Dip

Ahhh nachos– it’s the unofficial, ooey, gooey, and meltably delicious alternative to popcorn. I’ve loved nachos since my bestie first popped my nacho bubble back in HS during a showing of Bewitched (terrible movie, btw), and I’ve never looked back… that is, until I went veg! So what’s a vegan to do without real nacho cheese? Luckily, I was […]

Summer Showers, Spring Sensibilities

Spring Summer Fashion Color Vegan

Sometimes, with the world ending and the weather wibbly-wobbling any which way it feels like, I really don’t know what to wear. In those times, I like to dress not in terms of style (though I always end up stylish anyway :D), but more in terms of color and versatility. Since you’ll never know if it’ll […]
